PC and consoles live — 16 September 2026.
Aniimo is a free-to-play creature-catching open-world RPG set on the continent of Idyll. Pawprint Studio developed the game and publishes it on Steam, with FunPlus as the publishing partner behind Pawprint Interactive Entertainment Pte. Ltd. You play a Pathfinder: catch wild Aniimo with Aniipods, then Twine so you become the creature you collected and spend its skills on combat, puzzles, gliding, diving, and burrowing. A sky-floating metropolis is where Pathfinders meet and compete. Windows PC, Steam, Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S opened on 16 September 2026. iOS and Android follow on 23 September 2026 on the same account data.
What a Pathfinder actually does
The Steam about text is a task list, not a slogan. On Idyll you catch Aniimo with Aniipods, set traps, and time the throw. Unique Aniimo appear by environment, weather, phenomena, and time of day, and most can evolve. After a catch you can Twine: you become that Aniimo and use its skills instead of only issuing commands from the side.
Traversal is part of the same loop. The store page names gliding, diving, and burrowing as ways you step onto ground you could not reach on foot. Combat, puzzles, and those movement skills all sit on the collected creature, which is why the first player task on this archive is Twine rather than a generic beginner checklist.
Homeland sits beside the field work. Each Pathfinder owns a personal RV parked at an open-world campsite, then returns to Homeland to plant crops, build decorations, and arrange space with Aniimo. Egg Heist is the named 3-player PVEVP mode in the Lost Isles, with ranks and evacuation goals on the Steam achievement list.
Live window and the mobile week
The launch live notice dated the PC and console opening to 16 September 2026. The same notice lists the official launcher, Steam, Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, and Xbox. Xbox Wire also lists Game Pass for the Xbox Series X|S store row. Steam marks the title free to play with in-app purchases, single-player, online PvP, online co-op, and cross-platform multiplayer.
iOS and Android are not live on that same morning. The notice sets 23 September 2026 for both mobile stores, and the App Store lookup already lists Aniimo under id 6759098797. PC and mobile share the same data when you sign in with the same account, which is why the platform page treats the mobile date as a continuation rather than a second save file.
Three tests ran before launch, including a Global Closed Beta on 9 July 2026. The launch letter says test character data does not carry into the live service. Beta reward claims and the live reward board are different lists; do not assume a closed-beta item is waiting on a live character.
The 86-name index and the 200 figure
The official Aniimo Index currently publishes 86 named records with element, role, stage, morphology, and a wikiItemId. Emberpup is NO.001, named again in the Pawprint launch letter. Helion and Lunara are the first companions named on Steam achievements and sit in the same index under wikiItemId 10002967 and 10003029.
Xbox Wire says more than 200 Aniimo are discoverable at launch. That is a first-party count for the live world, not a second index on wiki.aniimo.com. This archive filters the 86 published rows. Missing names, hidden stats, and extra portraits stay off the cards until the official index adds them.
Start from the Aniilog when you need a name, an element, or a role. Start from Catching when you need Final Chance math. Start from Platforms when you need a store URL or the 23 September mobile date. Those three jobs are the reason the home folio leads with task links instead of a feature grid.
