Catching
Wild Aniimo are caught with Aniipods. Set context, target state, base chance, and Aniipod type.
Final Chance = Base Chance × Aniipod Multiplier
A standard Aniipod also runs two square-root checks. Outside combat, in combat, and target defeated each add their own extra multipliers on top of that core product.
- Outside combatFinal Chance = Base Chance × Aniipod Multiplier × Level Multiplier × Back Attack Multiplier × Special Status MultiplierDouble square-root checks apply on a standard throw.
- In combatFinal Chance = Base Chance × Aniipod Multiplier × Level Multiplier × HP Multiplier × Special Status MultiplierDouble square-root checks apply on a standard throw.
- Target defeatedFinal Chance = Defeated Base Chance × Aniipod Multiplier × Special Status MultiplierCommon Alpha is 0% while alive and 6% after defeat. Common Omega cannot be captured.
Aniipods
| Aniipod type | Multiplier | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Aniipod | 1 | Standard throw; two square-root checks. |
| Aniipod Pro | 1.5 | Pro multiplier. |
| Aniipod Hyper | 2 | Hyper, Trace, and Mega share x2. |
| Aniipod Ultra | Guaranteed | Guaranteed success with Sparkling Cube. |
| Tumbler | 2 | x6 on Wild Surge targets; no back-attack bonus. |
| Sparkling Cube | Guaranteed | Also rolls Sparkling Style 99/1 Common/Dazzling on wild catches. |
Base chance bands and level difference
Probability Details publishes Standard Area bands of 56%, 42%, and 28%. Those percentages are the Base Chance you type into the worksheet below, unless you are on a defeated Alpha. They are not catch rates copied from another wiki. If you are standing in a Standard Area and the page lists tier 1, start from 56% and then multiply.
Level Difference equals Aniimo Level minus Character Level. A difference of plus 10 uses x1. Plus 15 uses x0.1. If your Pathfinder is already a higher level than the target, the page says there is no bonus. That is a one-way penalty table, not a reward for over-leveling.
The worksheet on this page multiplies the number you enter by the Aniipod you pick. It also applies the published Alpha and Omega rules. HP, back-attack, and special-status stay named multipliers on Probability Details, without a public number grid.

Alpha, Omega, Ultra, and the Cube
A Common Alpha cannot be caught while it is alive. After it is defeated, the published defeated base is 6%, then Aniipod and special-status multipliers apply. A Common Omega cannot be captured at all. The calculator surfaces those two constraints so a throw at an Omega is not reported as a normal percentage.
Aniipod Ultra is guaranteed, and Probability Details groups Sparkling Cube with that guaranteed success. The Cube also rolls Sparkling Style at 99/1 Common/Dazzling on wild catches. Do not type a base chance for Ultra or Cube and expect a partial product. The official result is success.
Tumbler is the trap that breaks the simple x2 story. It is x2 in the ordinary case and x6 on Wild Surge targets, and it does not receive the back-attack bonus. If you are lining a back attack, a Hyper-class x2 Aniipod and a Tumbler are not interchangeable even though both print as 2 on the ledger.
Outside combat, in combat, and after a faint
Outside combat keeps Back Attack Multiplier and drops HP Multiplier. In combat keeps HP Multiplier and drops Back Attack Multiplier. Both keep Level Multiplier and Special Status Multiplier. Target defeated drops down to Defeated Base Chance times Aniipod times Special Status. Those three lines are why the folio prints three formulas instead of one in live play.
The core identity is still Base Chance times Aniipod Multiplier. Everything else is a named extra from Probability Details. When you use the worksheet, pick the context first so the Alpha-alive rule and the defeated-base rule fire on the right branch.
Sparkling Aniimo and Prismana Aniimo are achievement and reward topics, not extra catch-chance columns. Radiant as a Rainbow asks you to witness a Prismana Flow. Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star asks for a Sparkling Aniimo. Neither achievement publishes a new Aniipod. Use the Cube if you are chasing Sparkling Style on a wild throw.
Prismana nurture numbers next to the throw
Probability Details also publishes Prismana nurture values: Vein Essence Flow 3%, Prismatic Energy 480, and pity 10500. Those numbers are not Aniipod multipliers. They sit on the same official page because the live client treats Prismana as a parallel scarce track, not because they change a wild throw.
Grade I Wayfarer can pick one Prismana Form Aniimo as a launch reward. That pick is a collected body, then Twine applies as usual. Do not mix the pity counter with the Aniipod product. If you need the reward list, open Launch rewards. If you need the throw, stay on this catching folio.
The official catching video is the first-party demonstration of Aniipod timing in the field. Watch it for the throw animation and for trap placement. It does not replace the ledger. After it plays, use the worksheet with a real base band from Standard Areas rather than a guessed 50.
What to carry before you throw
Carry a standard Aniipod for ordinary Standard Area work at 56/42/28. Carry Pro when you can spend the 1.5. Carry a Hyper-class x2 when the target is worth the stock, remembering Trace and Mega share that 2. Keep Ultra and Cubes for the throws you cannot afford to miss, including Sparkling Style rolls.
Keep a Tumbler for Wild Surge targets if you want the x6. Do not expect that Tumbler to also enjoy a back-attack bonus. If the target is a Common Alpha, plan the faint first; the live base while it stands is 0%. If the target is a Common Omega, walk away. The official line is that it cannot be captured.
Catching is also a weather job. Unique Aniimo appear by environment, weather, phenomena, and time of day. An Aniipod does not create those spawns. Walk the named Idyll regions, then throw. The Idyll page lists the published region names; Catching handles the throw once the target is already on screen.
Frequently asked questions
What does the worksheet actually multiply?
It multiplies the base chance you type by the Aniipod multiplier you pick, then applies the published Alpha and Omega rules. Ultra and Sparkling Cube return guaranteed. A living Alpha returns 0%. A defeated Alpha uses 6% as the defeated base. Omega returns that it cannot be captured. HP, back-attack, and special-status grids are named on Probability Details but are not a public number table, so the worksheet leaves those extra multipliers unnamed as numbers.
Is Aniipod Hyper different from Trace or Mega?
On the official multiplier list they share x2. The names are different items in the bag, and the catching video plus the item list still print all three, but the catch product uses the same 2. Tumbler is the x2 that is not in that group, because Wild Surge raises it to x6 and back attacks do not apply.
Where do the 56, 42, and 28 percent bands come from?
Probability Details publishes those Standard Area tiers as Base Chance. Type the band that matches the area you are standing in, then pick an Aniipod. The worksheet multiplies that band by the Aniipod, and it applies the published Alpha and Omega rules on top.
